Cyrano de Bergerac

February 27th and March 6th

 By Edmond Rostand

Adapted by Erna Kruckenmeyer

Based on the translation by Howard Thayer Kingsbury

Cyrano de Bergerac, a cadet in the French army, is a brash, strong-willed man of many talents.  In addition to being a remarkable duelist, he is a gifted poet and is also shown to be a musician.  However, he has an extremely large nose, which is a target for his own self doubt.  This doubt prevents him from expressing his love for his distant cousin, the beautiful Roxane, as he believes his ugliness forbids him to "dream of being loved by even and ugly woman."

Across the Finish Line!

Seussical Jr.

April 24th and May 1st

Books and lyrics Lynn Ahrens

Book and music by Stephen Flaherty

Co-conceived by Eric Idle

Based on the works of Dr. Suess

Seussical mirrors Horton Hears a Who!, centering on Horton the elephant's endeavors to protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck of dust.  It also features characters and scenarios from many other Seuss stories as well as some characters that never made an appearance in any of Dr. Seuss's books.  The Cat in the Hat, an outside observer, acts as narrator and devil's advocate throughout the show, briefly leaping into action to create conflict and keep the story moving.
